What is a buffer?
A buffer, also known as a filter strip, is vegetated land adjacent to a stream, river, lake or wetland
What is the MN Buffer Law?
The law requires perennial vegetative buffers of fifty (50) foot average and thirty (30)
foot minimum width along lakes, rivers, and streams and buffers of 16.5 feet along ditches.
