After several discussions with the Dodge County Board of Commissioners, the Board passed a resolution on December 26, 2007 to have re-determination of benefits done on County Ditch No. 1 and County Ditch No.5. The resolution states that the Dodge County Board of County Commissioners has determined that the original benefits or damages determined in these two County Ditch systems do not reflect reasonable present day land values or that the benefited or damaged areas have changed. Therefore, the Board of County Commissioners has appointed the engineering firm of Jones, Haugh & Smith, Inc. to make a preliminary survey and to make and file their report to the Dodge County Finance Office for the purpose of assisting the viewers in their duties. The Board of County Commissioners also has appointed three viewers (Chris Christianson, Wesley Tennis, and Robert Hansen), to redetermine and report the benefits and damages of these two County Ditch Systems. On March 10, 2009 the County Board of Commissioners approved the viewer's and engineer's reports for County Ditch No. 1 and 5. They also appointed the same viewers and engineer to do re-determination of benefits on County Ditch No. 4 and 7.
